Central Coast Bulldogs Masters Rugby League Team
Central Coast Bulldogs are the only team from the Central Coast that plays in the over 35's masters competition.
The Master’s Competition is Sydney based, with over 38 teams competing. There are usually eight games in the season with games being played every three weeks. Our games are mostly played away so we get to enjoy a team bus trip with lots of refreshments thrown in. A lot of the players think it's more about the bus trip than the game!
We make game day as much fun as possible. Most of our games are played in Sydney which involves a bus trip, and much merriment is had on the trip home.
If you are interested in playing but you are thinking I'm too old, too slow, too many old injuries and no footy skill what so ever think again because that descibes our team! We are all about having fun, a few beers, some great family picnics, a few more beers and the occasional game of footy.
What is Masters Rugby League?
The Masters of Rugby League was formed for semi-retired and non-competitive players and officials (35 years and over) to showcase their skills and abilities on the field without the risk of serious injury. The objective is to enjoy the game but still be able to get out of bed the next morning and go to work.
The Game is open to all. You must have obtained the age of 35yrs and not be playing any other competition football.
All games end in a draw with the emphasis being on sportsmanship, showing old skills and just enjoying the opportunity to still play Rugby League and renewing old friendships with a little bit of a convivial thrown in. We have players from 35 to 74 playing the game together, with the various coloured shorts protecting, along with the modified rules each player.
